texas has been under a severe drought for a long time. all of the storm activity is making a big right turn. now, as of 4:00, it's moving to the north, northwest at 7 miles per hour. this could impact the forecast by the middle of next week. you can see the direction of the moisture. it's expected to potentially dump 20 inches of rain towards alabama and mississippi and louisiana. we know what that's like. that's going to be a problem for those folks. it's coming in our direction and it could be picked up by a front moving across the midwest. katia is a hurricane. still, out in the tropics. still moving to the northwest at 10 miles per hour. the problem with this storm, it won't make a turn. we'll keep a close eye on this. the closer it gets to the mainland, the more of a chance it has to impact us. not saying it will. it's not made the turn just yet. all of the models have it making a sweeping right turn to the north atlantic. this is something that will happen by the middle of next week. hopefully none of this will play into our forecas
